Just Say No
There will come a moment today when you are about to say yes but you want to say no. You'll let someone cut you in line, you'll take on an extra side project, you'll not uphold your policy, or you'll order the special when you just want the usual. I challenge you today not only to say no but to leave it at that. Try a "no thanks" and hold back the excuse, blame, reasoning, explaining, justifying, and lying. Hold it all in just to see if you can. I've let many a thing play out longer than it needed to, strung along potential possibilities knowing full well (or mostly) that I would end up saying no. Just do it now. Say no. Save yourself time. Save me time. Save them time. Just say no. Do it now if you want. Here's your first practice opportunity. You're welcome.
